Without trying to make excuses…I have many! Sick kids, school holidays and an unexpected house guest for the last week…it’s been so hard to find my way back to blogesphere. 5 minutes to do a post,  no worries, 10 minutes to race around the globe and post a quick “Great! Nice Pic!” comment..I could do that too, BUT time to sit and enjoy, post a comment or compliment and really visit not fly by…that’s been the hard bit. So…today I hope will  be the day when I can do all of the above! If you don’t see my name pop up please remember that I am there in thought! I hope to make the most of this week photographing magnolias (like the ones below) and winter goodies, my daughter is due for major surgery on the 21st and I’ll do my dissapearing act again then no doubt!

It’s time for a sweet goodbye, not to me ofcourse but to Autumn. Alas, it can not last for ever as much as I would love it too. I am not sure if it’s winter by the calendar yet but it is mostly definately frosty and the leaves are all but gone from most of the trees that recently boasted bright and lush bursts of colour. Here are a few pics that I havn’t yet had the chance to upload. Previously due to my sick computer (oh what a season to do that in!) and more recently due to kids having a winter cold. I have certainly loved Autumn with my eyes this year!

Winter has it’s glory to ofcourse and without winter we would not have the rain for the new growth of spring…so onward and upward it is!

I am constantly amazed at the beauty that awaits anyone who takes time too look…just a little closer.

PS: I found this neat widget on RED BUBBLE for  my photos. I think this is probably for a banner though so I will have to have a play around! If you click it, it takes you to my ‘bubble site.’

I was out taking photos of these trees and collecting  leaves for my collage work when I came across these lovely pink flowers. I love how the flower has caught the petals of another one within it’s own petals.

I posted a green acorn from the same tree a few months ago when they first appeared. I don’t know what it is about acorns but I really like them. Perhaps it stems from child-hood when we used to carve little faces into them with our fingernails…they looked really cute with their little caps! lol!
