This picnic spot is where we stopped for lunch. This part of the Island is nearly at the end of the walk if you are  going in a clockwise direction although there are no rules about which way you go! The white patches by the rocks are actually piles of shells (mostly broken and smoothed down by the rocks) and not sand. The smaller patches of brown are the sandy areas! It’s a beautiful area to stop and there was another photographer down there taking photos. Great minds think alike!

The island that can be see in the back ground of the first photo is closer here. It’s called “Leisure Island” and used to be a theme park complete with a dolphin show and giant water slides. These days it’s a walking track and picnic area. I’ve never been there but I’m planning on a photo walk there soon!

These quails were far to busy hunting for insects in the leaf litter to be worried about me!

I used to have quails in an avery years ago. Pretty little things! I was really pleased to spot this family of them under the trees.

I spotted this quote on a park bench.
